Forecast Discussion:

Throughout this period, ozone is forecast in the Moderate AQI category each day. However, how high ozone is able to reach will depend on thunderstorm activity in/around the County. Storm-related winds and clouds can help to reduce ozone if they arrive early enough in the afternoon. That looks to happen Saturday. But on sunnier days when winds are light, ozone levels will likely increase.

As for dust, Saturday afternoon/evening will be the time period to watch. Strong winds out of the east could result in blowing dust. However, recent rain may also help to limit dust that is kicked up.

Then after Saturday, uncertainty in what happens on a given day grows a bit, typical of active monsoon periods. In general, gusty winds from distant thunderstorms will be possible in the evenings, particularly early next week.
