Discussion
A low-grade monsoon pattern will exist for Arizona this week, resulting in thunderstorms favoring the higher terrain in east-central and southeastern Arizona. Over the next few days, the Valley will mainly only get some leftover breezes from distant thunderstorms in the evenings/nights. However, storm chances do look to increase later in the week.
PM10 (dust) will remain mostly locally driven, with elevated levels possible in the mornings in/around typical active areas (i.e. industrial areas south/southwest of the Phoenix metro area).
We also can't rule out brief dust in the evenings/nights because of breezes from distant thunderstorms. But, we'll watch for any greater dust potential later in the week.
