Forecast Discussion:
PM10 levels easily stayed in the Good AQI range over the weekend with a few brief spikes from nearby gusty winds. Looking ahead, we don't expect much change. PM10 is forecast to stay in the Good range through most of the week, and again with occasional brief spikes from nearby storms. The only caveat is for this morning. There was a very large spike in PM10 this morning, which only showed up on the Rillito monitor and didn't appear to be driven by winds. This was either from some sort of localized activity, or potentially anomalous. Unfortunately, that spike will cause today to reach the Moderate AQI category.
As for the weather, there will be chances for showers and thunderstorms around the area most afternoons, and high temperatures are forecast to hover around 100°F this week.
